Campus Advisory

Dear Campus Community,

The National Weather Service (NWS) is monitoring a potential winter weather event that could impact the Charleston region beginning Friday evening, January 30.

For the city of Charleston, rain may fall Friday night, followed by a Saturday to Sunday total snow accumulation of up to 1.5 inches. Gusty winds are predicted for Saturday evening into Sunday which may add to hazardous travel. Wind chills will be very low Saturday into Tuesday—especially Saturday night and Sunday morning. Detailed winter weather forecasts can be found on the NWS website. Cold weather Advisories, Watches or Warnings may be issued by the NWS.

Should there be any changes in campus operations and/or class schedules, the College’s Emergency Management Team will update the campus community with additional advisories via university email.

Sincerely,

CofC Emergency Management Team
