CAMPUS ADVISORY: Arrest on campus

College of Charleston Police arrested a student on charges of criminal sexual conduct involving an acquaintance on Tuesday, November 4.

Police acted quickly to detain the suspect after the allegations were reported. There was never any threat posed to students or to the public.

The alleged suspect in this case has been banned from all College property and placed on trespass notice.

Students impacted are encouraged to seek support through the Counseling Center, and faculty and staff may contact AllOne Health. These resources are free, confidential and available to all College of Charleston affiliates.

As always, anyone who notices suspicious activity or has any public safety concerns is urged to call 911.
