Timely Warning: Off-Campus Burglary

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act, the Department of Public Safety is informing the College of Charleston campus community of a burglary that took place in the immediate vicinity of campus. 

Date (of offense):   3/20/2026 

Time (of offense): 0300 hours 

Reported to: Charleston Police Department 

Location: 50 George Street 

Suspect status: At large 

Suspect Description: One white male, unknown height and weight, age approximately 20 years, having curly dark hair, wearing a white shirt and unknown color of pants. The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. 

Incident Description: CPD responded to a report of a burglary no longer in progress. The victims woke up and found the suspect in their room. When confronted, he fled.
