CofC Officials Monitoring Tropical Storm Isaias (August 1, 2020)

The College of Charleston Emergency Management Team is closely monitoring the track of Tropical Storm Isaias. As of 5 p.m. Saturday, August 1, the National Hurricane Center had downgraded Isaias from a Category 1 hurricane to a tropical storm. But the storm is expected to re-strengthen into a hurricane as it approaches the east coast of Florida on Saturday night. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for the Charleston area. Campus Update: Phase One of Return-to-Work Plan Continues (June 1, 2020)

College of Charleston officials will monitor the situation in downtown Charleston throughout the day. At this time, the College will continue only with essential personnel on campus as outlined in Phase One of the College’s return-to-campus work plan. All other College employees are to continue to work remotely.
