By | November 1, 2025

The College of Charleston is aware of a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this morning at an off-campus apartment complex (930 Morrison Drive, about 1.5 miles from campus).

The Charleston Police Department is continuing its investigation. The victim and those injured are not College of Charleston students.

Support for those impacted is being offered. Students can receive assistance by contacting the Counseling Center. These resources are free, confidential and available to all College of Charleston affiliates. If you need services over the weekend, you can speak with a counselor-on-call by dialing 843.953.5640 and choosing menu option #3.

If you have any information about the incident that would be helpful to police as they investigate, including video, we encourage you to call Charleston Police at 843.720.2422 and ask for the on-duty Central Detective, or submit a tip anonymously at www.charleston-sc.gov/tips.

Thank you.
