Timely Warning: off-campus armed robbery

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act, the Department of Public Safety is informing the College of Charleston campus community of an off-campus armed robbery.

Date (of offense): 12/16/2023

Time (of offense): 3:27 a.m.

Reported to: City of Charleston Police Department

Location: 320 Meeting Street Charleston, SC 29403 (Circle K gas station).

Suspect status: at large

Suspect Description: White male, aged 25 to 30 years old, around 5’7 in height wearing a black jacket and blue jeans armed with a hammer.

Incident Description: Male threatened employee of Circle K gas station with a hammer, taking cash and fled East on Calhoun Street towards East Bay Street
