Dear Campus Community,

Please be advised that the National Weather Service in Charleston has issued the following hazardous weather outlook for Southeast South Carolina.

Severe Thunderstorms: Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and evening as a large area of showers and thunderstorms move across portions of Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester and Colleton Counties. Damaging wind gusts in excess of 60 mph will be possible.

Flash Flooding: Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts will be possible across Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester and Colleton Counties through this evening. Most of this rain will fall in a period of about 3 hours, which could result in minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas. There is a low risk for flash flooding, especially over the Charleston Metro Area.

Monitor local weather stations and the National Weather Service for the latest updates.
